Are you drawn to the contemporary styling, high-level utility and wealthy feature roster of the Volkswagen Atlas but want it all in a smaller package? The most recent addition to the VW family, the 2020 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport launches with all the same great qualities you’ve come to expect from something with the Atlas nameplate – but with its own compact twist. As the first 2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport models roll onto our lot in Topeka, we’re excited to share what’s in store. Learn more and check out this model in our inventory.
The conversion from Atlas to Atlas Cross Sport is a pretty simple one. All in the name of sportiness, the VW Atlas Cross Sport downsizes interior seating to two rows and drops down to a more coupe-like roofline for an aggressive touch.
Exploring the Interior Space and Powertrain Highlights of the 2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport
Overall length is 2.8 inches shorter than the standard Atlas, while the rest of the leftover interior space is redistributed for a more pleasing experience. With the third row out of the picture, the second row slides back to welcome an additional three inches of legroom. The subtracted seats also hollow out an impressive cargo volume of 40.3 cubic feet – about 2x more cargo space than that of the three-row Atlas.
And you certainly won't be left unsatisfied for power. Whether you choose the standard 235-horsepower turbocharged TSI® engine or the available 276-horsepower V6, the 2020 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport will launch you up to highway speeds with grace. When matched with the optional V6 Towing package, the 2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport is able to tow up to 5,000 lbs. The Cross Sport is also available with the 4MOTION® AWD system, which provides excellent traction when driving over challenging terrains.
